Interleaved RLE
The RDP bitmap compression codec documented in MS-RDPBCGR, used for compressed tiles in legacy bcache*.bmc files.
Interleaved RLE is the run-length bitmap codec of the Remote Desktop Protocol, documented by Microsoft in MS-RDPBCGR section 2.2.9.1.1.3.1.2.4. A compressed stream is a sequence of orders, each in a regular, "lite" or "mega-mega" form: background runs, foreground runs, foreground/background images, colour runs, colour images, dithered runs, and single white or black pixels.
In legacy bcache*.bmc files, tiles with flag bit 0x08 set are compressed this way (bmc-tools treats that bit as the compression flag). Cache*.bin tiles are not compressed. See the bcache*.bmc and Cache*.bin file format.
